FeelGoodFellows wins an award at the Startup Days!

Saturday, February 8, 2025, will be a significant date for FeelGoodFellows. For the first time, we participated in a public event and, icing on the cake, we came away with the 4th prize in the pitch competition of the 8th edition of Startup Days, held at the Hyper U shopping center in Les Arcs! 🥳

It was a great first time, both for FeelGoodFellows and for me. Pitching in front of a jury of experts, in the middle of the main avenue of a shopping center, surrounded by inspiring and innovative startups... a real challenge! 😅

This atypical context had an unexpected effect: it stressed me at first but forced me to make my speech clearer, more accessible. Here, no complicated jargon, but a direct and impactful explanation to grab the attention of everyone, whether they are industry experts or simple curious shoppers. It completely took me out of my comfort zone but also allowed me to take a step back and put things in perspective: "after all, this wasn't my target audience in front of me, so I might as well be relaxed!" that’s what I kept telling myself to avoid stressing out.

The exercise was not easy: a first pitch of 3 minutes, followed by two questions, not one more. I chose to speak from my heart, to convey all the energy and conviction that Tim and I have been putting into FeelGoodFellows for months. And evidently, it worked because, against all odds, I qualified for the finals! 🚀

In the finals, only 6 startups remained. But this time, the rules changed: only 2 minutes to convince, in front of the same jury. Impossible to repeat the exact same speech. So I chose to improvise and talk about our vision. The result? A prize of €500, a place close to the podium, and, most importantly, a phenomenal ego boost for the entire team! 🏆

Beyond the competition, this day was a true human adventure. I had the chance to meet wonderful people: other passionate entrepreneurs, ultra-engaged members of the organization, sponsors, partners, and even curious individuals who came to talk to me after my pitch. A big thank you to the organizers for this quality event and congratulations to the other finalists who well-deserved their spot! 👏

If this experience taught me one thing, it’s that the best preparation for a pitch is to explain your project over and over again: to loved ones, to strangers, to clients, to partners… Ultimately, a bit like a comedian who adjusts certain lines and interactions of their show based on the audience, being able to adapt your speech to all situations. The more you practice, the more flexible you become and capable of bouncing back. 🕺

This is just the beginning! This event has opened new perspectives for us and gives us even more desire to engage with the outside world, to other pitch competitions, trade shows, and networking events...
