Circle of Compliments

In this game, participants sit in a circle and each person receives a piece of paper and a pen. Each participant writes their name at the top of the paper, then passes it to the person on their left. Each person then writes one or two positive characteristics about the person whose name is at the top of the paper.

After 30 to 60 seconds, everyone passes the papers to the person on their left again. This process continues until everyone has written on everyone else's paper. At the end, each person gets their own paper back. For better dynamics, it is recommended to collect the papers and hand them out one at a time so everyone can see the reactions of others as they read the positive comments about themselves. Depending on the group, you can also have participants read their list out loud.

This game is particularly beneficial for team building because it creates an environment where participants feel valued and recognized by their peers. Receiving positive feedback boosts each person's self-esteem and sense of belonging to the group. It improves communication and team cohesion as members focus on each other's positive qualities. Additionally, seeing others' reactions to receiving compliments fosters an atmosphere of kindness and mutual support, which is essential for effective teamwork.
