Unique Question

The game "Unique Question" is an icebreaker activity that promotes exchanges and discussions within a group.

To play, the leader or facilitator selects a specific scenario or situation, such as babysitting, marriage, or the role of a sports team captain. Then, the group is divided into teams of two. Each team must come up with a single question they would ask to assess the relevance of candidates in that given scenario.

For example, for babysitting, what is the crucial question to ask a candidate to evaluate their ability to look after your children?

Teams have 3 to 5 minutes to discuss and identify their question. Then, each team presents their question to the group and explains why they believe their question provides a relevant insight into the candidate's suitability.

This game can lead to discussions on various themes such as integrity or character and can be fully adapted to a professional environment.

The interest of this game in team building or as an icebreaker activity lies in its ability to encourage critical thinking and communication among group members. By formulating a relevant question, participants must consider the essential qualities required to respond to the proposed scenario, which promotes mutual understanding and strengthens team bonds. Moreover, this game allows for discovering different perspectives within the group and can serve as a starting point for discussing deeper topics related to cooperation and collective decision-making.
