What we learned from our clients
From the beginning, we were fortunate to work with very different clients: corporate teams, social and economic committees, schools, associations, event organizers... And each time, we observed the same thing.
Everyone had ideas. Very specific wishes. "Can we add a mission?" "We would like participants to vote for each other." "Our event lasts only two hours, is that possible?" The requests were legitimate, creative, and often brilliant. But it was impossible to standardize everything for everyone.
We realized that we would never be quick enough to keep up with our users' creativity. And that this wasn't the way to approach the subject.
Our response: giving the keys to the users
Rather than chasing every request, we made a structuring decision: to build a platform that allows everyone to create their own photo and video challenge, from A to Z, independently.
In practical terms, anyone can now:
-
Define their own missions/challenges: the number, theme, instructions, type of expected content
-
Choose the duration of competitions: from one hour to several weeks, depending on the occasion
-
Customize as needed: public or private, with or without jury, with visibility of content or not...
And because by working this way, the FeelGoodFellows teams save time since they need to intervene much less, this autonomy comes with a significant reduction in prices for our users.
Use cases we hadn't imagined
What struck us the most was what we discovered once users took the reins. 🔭
Use cases we hadn't anticipated began to emerge naturally:
-
Educational workshops: a teacher launching a photo challenge to their class at the beginning of the session
-
Corporate training: a facilitator creating a live competition to energize their workshop
-
Themed days: an HR manager launching a challenge for a cohesion day, a company anniversary, an open house day
-
Ephemeral events: a wedding, a festival, an association evening
The photo and video challenge can fit into almost any occasion. We didn't realize how much until we handed the reins to our users.
How we built this
We didn't launch these features into the void. Above all, we worked extensively on the design and user experience because a self-service platform is only valuable if it is truly intuitive.
Then, we invited our power users (selected clients and friends based on their motivation to test the tool) to create their own challenges for free, in exchange for honest feedback. They enthusiastically participated. 💪
The feedback was positive, bugs reported, suggestions noted. It is this feedback loop that allowed us to refine the experience before opening it to everyone.
And now?
This is a new step in the life of FeelGoodFellows. We are moving from a platform that we configure for you to a platform that you configure yourself, with all the energy and creativity that entails.
We can't wait to see what you will create. 🚀
